Belted Frock

BELTED FROCKS
Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes and Amy Adams give retro full-skirted, filmy dresses with skinny belts a modern twist with their sexy, undone 'dos and fabulous footwear.

I can't really remember the last time I wear a belted frock. In fact, even just a frock - except summer dresses of course. But these are lovely especially Jessica Alba's. Makes me want to one day buy one, just those with slim belts.

Okay, so much for looking at these frocks. It's time to do some research on allen carr. It might come in handy when Mcj wants to quit smoking.

White Lace

WHITE LACE DRESSES
Anne Hathaway, Lauren Conrad and Nicole Kidman take the peekaboo fabric from sweet to utterly elegant.

I thought, white lace are just apt for wedding or christening. But in the photo above, it just proves that one could be a darling in it. I particularly like Anne Hathaway's outfit. It's such an elegant piece.

So much for my holidays - been shopping around for dresses and PS3, window shopping that is.

Security is...

You Need Security

To be happy in life, you need to feel as secure and grounded as possible.
You have to know that things will be okay no matter what. You plan for the worst.
You tend to be cautious, and you always think of the long term consequences before you act.
Living a low-key, responsible life is the only way to ensure that you can truly relax.

boring, I would say. I took this quiz but I don't think this is me. I live on the dangerous side at times and I'm more a go with the flow person. I plan but only up to some extent.

But security for me is more on being secured physically and financially. I'm working on being cautious on the latter - a work in progress. I know some have even to install spy gear to ensure their security. But one can only be prepared up to some extent yet it always pay to be on the right foot when it comes to those elements - unwanted that is.

This festive season, it's so easy to let loose as some puts their guard down but I know there are just some who lurks around the corner ready to pounce. It pays to be ever ready and be vigilant.

This is Me

You Are Confident

You go all out when you give gifts. You want to give a present that will wow, even if it's a little over the top.
You are spontaneous and impulsive. You tend to do things quickly, and you're quite impatient.
You are creative but not very organized. You are often going in many directions at once.
Your style of dress is whimsical and inspired. You love to play around with different looks.

On gifts, that is. Although, I don't check the brochures printing in buying gifts. I buy whatever I think will do.

JENNIFER LOPEZ
The American Idol judge amps up a casual outfit with a furry vest and DSquared2 sunglasses while shopping in Beverly Hills.

In a weather like this, I sometimes wish I live some place else where people rug up for the season. It's been pretty humid and stuffy lately despite the constant rain. Plus, I want to at least be familiar with the trend in preparation for the winter next year. It's a season late here anyway. I'm not really expecting gifts of those sorts or a samsung galaxy. As a matter of fact, I'm not into gifts these days. I'm way past those.

Curious

Your Face Says You're Reflective

At first glance, people see you as warm and well-balanced.
Overall, your true self is creative and expressive.
With friends, you seem thoughtful and interested in ideas.
In love, you seem mysterious and interesting.
In stressful situations, you seem cheerful and optimistic.

I thought, I would get results something like scary.. the negative mindset is on the loose again. But really, I was curious. Obviously, blogthings have only good things to say so really lovely. 'Nough of this memes. Now onto diet pill reviews. It's Friday tomorrow so life is getting.. easier...

If Only I am

You Are Wise

You are a prudent and rational person. You try not to do anything you regret, and if you do, you learn form your mistake.
You are educated or at the very least knowledgable. You have a perception that most people lack.
You've learned to be vigilant in your life. You are pretty much always on guard.
No matter how old you actually are, you are quite seasoned. You are experienced and worldly.

Working on that. That's why I sometimes think that I'll recommend something like diets that work to my friends who need help.

Looking Back

My little boy is now fast asleep and snoring and I sort of miss him really today. We didn't have plenty of cuddle time as he was home late from picking up his uncle from the airport with his dad. I usually have flowers around the house from him but they've all gone bad today so I put them in the bin. Too bad, I missed them tonight like main flower page. So I turn to this sitcom again. My favourite ever. Downside is I still get surprised when I see them as I imagine them in their looks these days.

On Mascara

LANCOME DEFINICILS PRECIOUS CELLS MASCARA
For her debut campaign as LancĂ´me's newest ambassador, Julia Roberts unveils the brand's newest mascara, $29, which uses cutting-edge conditioning technology to help create perfect, feathery lashes.

Just something new. I have never bought a mascara in my life, that I can remember. I have owned quite a few but I remember using them once or twice. I don't wear make-up but sometimes I think of wearing just mascara yet I haven't done so. It's because I'm just lazy. When I was holding a finance job, I didn't see the need but I should be wearing makeup now, yet I am not really keen on doing so. Can't be bothered.

Any Truth?

You Are Innovative

You're the type of person who is always putting a new spin on things. You are very creative.
You sometimes feel like you are a square peg trying to fit into a round hole, but that's okay! You'll build your own square hole.
You are cutting edge to the point of being avant-garde. You are extremely inventive.
You can't help but be original. You love to experiment and try new things.

To this? I'm not sure really because I haven't labelled myself as innovative but I do things my own way. No proding or probing or pushing. If I maybe neeed opiate detox, I'll have to make the effort to make intelligent decision.

Chignon

BLAKE LIVELY'S CHIGNON
"Blake was wearing Lanvin, and it was very flowy, so we wanted to do something sleek that wouldn't take over the look," says Rod Ortega of elegant chignon he gave the star for the Spike TV Scream Awards.
Four Easy Steps
1: Apply T3 Polish serum on ends and blow hair dry using a T3 Featherweight dryer and flat brush.
2: Flatiron select strands of hair only using a SinglePass flatiron, bending up at tips.
3: Pull hair back into low pony and spray tail with dry shampoo to create workable texture.
4: Tuck pieces into the base of the ponytail one small section after another, anchoring into the elastic band using pins.

I'm interested to make a chignon but it doesn't seem too easy as they make it sound. Plus, I don't have loads of products that will assist me. As much as possible, I don't buy any hair products other than shampoo and conditioner. It's not that I am saving for baby birth announcements because there's no bun in the over. I am just practical and can't really be bothered styling my hair.

Plans for the Day

Moving is not a walk in the park. Although, I like the new place.. it takes a lot of hard work shifting stuff.

We are just half way through. There are so many things to do. I have to clean-up stuff and shift things some more. Oh well, at least I dont have to worry about eczema treatments, which I reckon is as itchy at it feels.

Now, I need to be up and running. :)

For the Face

For almost 4 years I've been changing face wash (not really something like acne wash) and moisturiser. I wasnt able to find the perfect brand for me. Then, I read that Jennifer Aniston is using the Neutrogena clear soap. I tried it and I didn't have any break-outs (except that special days of the month) so I can say that it's for me. I still havent' finished my Avene facial wash. I used them simultaneously, whatever is handy. As to moisturiser, I used Garnier and I'm into the second bottle. So far so good as it has SPF15.

Freaky

You're the type not to make a fuss. You're more likely to sit back and figure out how you can help.

Red is not my colour

You Should Paint Your Room Red

Dramatic and bold, a red room brings energy.
Your red room will inspire you to try a new activity...
And bring out even more passion for the things you love.

I'd rather have yellow, blue or orange. But red? Hey, I don't really like it but I don't dislike it either. Maybe, it'll look better in an equestrian apparel.

No wonder of me being confused as I am not really into, just curious. Everyone is into it these days as summer is approaching in Australia. Hope everyone gets what they desire.

Falls Hottest Shoes

From people.com.
These are my picks from at least 8. I'm more of a minimalist and functional. There are options on where to buy these shoes. If you're interested, head to the website. KITTEN HEELS
Finally, shoes that we can walk in! Mother-of-two Reese Witherspoon knows that sky high heels can be impractical, choosing mid-height heels instead for a business lunch in Beverly Hills.

Positive Comment

We were at the shops this morning with Jens with me. Just doing a little bit of retail therapy. Jens was really talkative when we are the shops. We frequent it almost every weekend. When we were queueing at the counter to pay because I bought more than 10 items, the lady at the counter offered the person next to me to come first so she's not hussled waiting for us. This lady then said to me "I have to tell you ma'am, your little boy talks really well. It's nice to listen to him talk. He'll do well in school." I have to say thank you several times and couldn't stop grinning.

I'm glad to hear it really. It's not the first compliment that we get but it's always nice to hear that people recognise or hear how clever my little boy is.

And talking of which, I'm always geared up to prepare for his future everytime I get talk about school. with education, I always believed there's no early time to prepare for stuff like lsat prep courses. I know, I have more research to do and I'm talking my time.

Winter is over

but the cold weather is still here. Spring it should be but it doesn't really feel like spring-y. It's been raining for almost a week now and if forecast is good, it will still be until next week. The weather is still good for donning on sweaters. I am looking at these lovies. If only, they're available in Australia.

Wish List

My birthday is coming up and I have lots of things I want. I dont want anything but just some little bits and pieces. Although, I wish for a Canon camera. Not just a compact one but a SLR.

I also want my own laptop and Apple maybe. I can have jewellery too. Diamonds, preferrably.

But most of all, I just want to be healthy - no backpains, that's my constant complaint a knee pain like I'm eon years old.

Happiness too! But I am now.

I Just Hope So

You Try to Tread Lightly

You would like to make the world a better place, but you also don't want to inflict any damage on it.
You try to live a green and sustainable life. The environment matters deeply to you.
You are thoughtful in your decisions and words. You think everyone should try harder not to harm one another.
You don't think big... in fact, you tend to think small. You know that one small action can make a big difference.

I do tread lightly because I have always been cautious in my life. I don't want my actions and decisions to backfire on me like led flashlights pointed to a wall.

But I do have a simple mind and think that the problem of the world can be solve using simple logic if only everyone will cooperate.

Pregnant Pause

MIRANDA Kerr isn't letting a little baby bump get in the way of her chance to walk the Balenciaga runway.

After making her Balenciaga catwalk debut a year ago (a major move toward building a more high-end image), Kerr - now five months pregnant - took to the runway for the second time Sept. 30 in Paris, where she wore a wide shift dress with an oversize houndstooth print that conveniently disguised her belly, along with a rubbery black jacket and chunky men's-style flats.

Being preggy is not a thing that will hinder one in appearing in the runway except maybe if one is wearing french maid costumes. It's good to know that there are designers who allows model to appear preggy with their creations.

In the Future

According to reports, this is the lounge room of the future. A 4 yard tv, speakers that know the room (it’s too hard to expound on that one as it has something to do with the position, dimension, etc about the room). More features are available and I think, with these changes in ones home, insurance quotes will sky rocket not to mention the cost.

Fashion Week

Got this photo from thevine.com.au for the fashion week in London. I'm not a fashion guru or nearly at it so I'll just say what I like in the photos. Because, it's spring and I like colourful clothes, it's obvious.

I don't shop as to season either. I shop when I want to and when my pockets allow me to. And if I have to especially for electric blanket during cold seasons.

Spring Cleaning

We're almost over with the first month of spring but I haven't really done any spring cleaning. Just a routine weekly cleaning that is. I reckon, good enough is good enough. But just in case, this is worth sharing (from housekeeping.about.com) the 15 minute bedroom cleanup:

Grab your supplies.
Few of us have supplies to clean the bedroom actually stored in our bedroom. Gathering all supplies together before beginning the job will keep you from getting distracted and failing to complete the job.

Grab all dirty clothing and put it in a hamper.
Since you're in a hurry, don't worry about unrolling socks, and pulling shirts right side out. These tasks are easier to do while sorting the laundry. Just grab all of the dirty clothes and place them in the hamper.

Grab all clean clothes and refold or re-hang.
If you have a significant amount of clean clothing lying around waiting to be folded and hung, skip this step and place the clean clothing semi-neatly on your bed after you complete Step 5. You can hold your bed hostage and remind yourself to take a few minutes to put away the clothing before bed.

Grab all trash and put in the trashcan.
This is not the time to determine if you're ready to trash old copies of magazines, or that pair of shoes you've needed repaired for two years. We're throwing away obvious trash, not sorting through boxes and closets. Save the major trash sweep for when you have more time.

Make the bed.
Yes, I know there is a major debate about whether or not to make the bed. You are just going to get back into it in a few hours. But if we used that argument for other areas of our home, we would never have clean floors, dishes, or laundry. Why wash something when it's just going to get used again? Making the bed changes the look of a room. It makes a room more inviting and uncluttered looking.

Pickup all the misplaced items on the floor, bed, desk, etc.
Put them in a basket, box, or bag. These are items that belong in another room in the house. Don't try to take them back one at a time. Just put them all in one location for now and move on.

Straighten surfaces.
If it has been a long time since you have cleaned in here, you may have large accumulations of your stuff that belongs in your room but is not in its proper place. Take a brief survey of this "stuff". If in a minute or less you can put it all away, do so. If not place it all in a container so that you can go through it and organize it later.

Sweep and mop or vacuum.
Don't move furniture to sweep or vacuum. Just do a quick run through.

Put away your supplies
Allow yourself to reflect on how much nicer this briefly cleaned room is. If you keep up this regime regularly on your room, you'll always be able to find your bed. And isn't that what we all want.

Really, for me this will take almost 30 minutes. I have lots of nooks, crannies and corners to check. And if there's a little monster that litters (with name tags, etc) the place that you just cleaned up, it's no easy feat.

Funny Quote

From celebs.

"As a kid I decided that a Canadian accent doesn't sound tough…So now I have a phony accent that I can't shake, so it's not phony anymore. I'm going for the Madonna thing, the Lady Gaga thing – a phony accent that becomes your trademark."

Andrea & Joen shoes reflect a combination of sophistication and rock n roll attitude revealing freedom and confidence that makes the sexy Andrea & Joen a must for the contemporary woman.

Andrea & Joen shoes are very much the cutting edge flavour of the girls themselves. The design combines sleek shapes, sexy silhouettes, play of bold colours and materials, essential mixes for the Andrea & Joen signature style.

In 2006 they created the SUNDAY Andrea & Joen, using colourful and texured materials such as hand braided weaves, metallic texture and pop prints to create a more relaxed and casual style.
